Professor Susumu Tachi retired from the University of Tokyo as of March 31, 2009, and has been appointed Professor of Media Design, Keio University, on April 1, 2009. The Tachi Laboratory now consists of the Tachi Laboratory of Keio University and the Kawakami Laboratory of the University of Tokyo, working in conjunction with each other.
