Professor Emeritus Susumu Tachi was recognized as the first Honorary Member of the Virtual Reality Society of Japan (VRSJ) by a resolution of the VRSJ General Meeting held on March 28, 2025, and was awarded an Honorary Membership Certificate in recognition of his longstanding contributions and special achievements.
